According to TechFlow, Binance announced that it has discovered a global malware Clipper, which changes the withdrawal address during the transaction process, mainly targeting cryptocurrency wallet addresses.
When a user copies and pastes a wallet address to transfer cryptocurrency, the malware replaces the original address with the address specified by the attacker. If the user completes the transfer without noticing the change, the cryptocurrency is sent to the attacker's wallet, resulting in financial loss.
Users are advised to be cautious when installing plugins and applications, especially on Android and web apps, and also be vigilant on iOS.
The Binance security team is working on this issue and is actively blacklisting suspicious addresses.
