Coinspeaker TON Foundation Partners with Ride-Hailing App TADA for Telegram Mini App

As per the latest development, the TON Foundation has joined hands with Southeast Asia ride-hailing platform TADA to launch a Telegram mini app dubbed TADA mini. This would allow the Web3 users to directly book a ride through the Telegram messaging apps without the need for Signups.

As part of this integration, the TADA users will also be able to use the local TON cryptocurrency along with the USDT stablecoins to make the payments. Speaking on the development, Harvey Kim, Head of Korea at TON Foundation, said:

“If we want to accelerate the successful adoption of web3 solutions, it’s crucial that strong partnerships are forged with exciting web2 platforms that enable their users to quickly become familiar with the many benefits of web3. This partnership is a key milestone for us, as we look to continue TON blockchain’s growth across Southeast Asia.”

To showcase its new service, the ride-hailing platform will host 4,000 complimentary rides during the upcoming TOKEN2049 crypto conference next week in Singapore, between September 14 to 18.

Using TADA mini, the company plans to transform the ride-hailing industry by streamlining the booking process and also incorporating digital assets into real-world applications. furthermore, the company is also expanding its services to other regions, aiming to broaden its reach and provide enhanced accessibility to a larger audience.

Within six years of its establishment, TADA currently has a stronghold in the East Asia region. It’s operating in countries like Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

Telegram Mini Apps Gaining Traction

Telegram mini apps have been gaining massive traction since they’re lightweight, web-based applications that can be accessed by users directly from the messaging platform. This move comes as part of Telegram’s broader expansion into the crypto space.

Millions of gamers have also been using the Telegram platform to play popular tap-to-earn games such as Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Yescoin, which are linked to the TON blockchain.

To further capitalize on this growth, Telegram launched a mini-app store and an in-app browser with support for Web3 pages in July, enhancing its offerings in the gaming and crypto sectors.

Amid this strong growth, the TON cryptocurrency saw a strong rally this year in 2024 getting a spot for itself in the top ten crypto-list with a market cap of $13.6 billion.
