ChainCatcher reported that according to Cointelegraph, cybersecurity experts warned that the notorious North Korean hacker group "Lazarus Group" may take the US Bitcoin ETF as a new target. Michael Pearl, vice president of GTM strategy at Cyvers, said that hackers may turn their attention to the US Bitcoin ETF due to the potential huge returns.
According to Dune data, US ETFs currently hold $52.1 billion worth of Bitcoin, which is an attractive target for hackers. Pearl warned that not only ETF providers may become targets, but all companies associated with them will also be at risk, so ETF vulnerabilities are something that needs to be addressed quickly, otherwise a "super hack" incident may occur.
