On August 28, Binance Vietnam cooperated with the Da Nang Software Association (DSA) to organize the event “Danang Innovation Forum: Emerging Tech and Smart Cities: A Vision for the Future.” This event brought together many leading experts in the technology field to discuss the potential and development opportunities of Da Nang into an advanced smart city.
The event kicked off with the arrival of the Binance Summer Lemonade truck, which was served free of charge exclusively to the Binancian community and guests attending the event. This is one of the main activities of Binance's summer appreciation program for all its users!

Mr. Nguyen Van Quoc - Director of the Da Nang Smart Monitoring and Operation Center said that Da Nang is a dynamic and developing economic - cultural and social center of the Central and Central Highlands regions. With a strategic geographical location, located right on the North - South traffic axis and the end point of the East - West Economic Corridor. Da Nang is truly the gateway connecting Vietnam with neighboring countries. This is not only an ideal place to live and work, but also a promising place for those who are passionate about technology and innovation.

Lynn Hoang, Country Manager of Binance, believes that Blockchain has significant potential to improve efficiency, ensure security, and enhance transparency for smart cities. This not only strengthens trust between the government and citizens, but also makes urban management more innovative and effective. For example, Blockchain can be applied to the management of property and land records, allowing for transparent lookups and authentication of ownership, eliminating concerns about document forgery. In addition, this technology can also track the food supply chain, ensuring transparency from production to consumption. In the environmental field, Blockchain supports monitoring the waste management process, ensuring accountability, and encouraging recycling by rewarding people for sustainable actions.
From the perspective of an AI expert, Dr. Nguyen Phong Son - CEO of Neurond AI and COO of Orient Software company commented: "We can apply AI to build a comprehensive management system for the city, integrating data on health, culture, education, tourism, architecture, etc. From there, people can access information in a personalized way, meeting their search needs."
Dr. Tran Minh Tung - Director of FPT Danang School of Business and Technology expressed his expectation that in the next 5-10 years, the Internet of Things (IoT) network will cover the entire city of Danang, including sensor stations for air quality, temperature, along with applications for warning of traffic jams or waste discharge, etc., helping to promptly notify people and authorities.
Mr. Nguyen Bao Anh, Representative of the Semiconductor Community in the Central Region, shared about the challenges in applying new technology to build smart cities: although there are many approaches, the important thing is to have a detailed, systematic and long-term plan. Technologies such as AI, Blockchain, IoT... need to be applied in the right place and in the right way to achieve optimal efficiency.
