A series of review processes
To obtain the coveted official license, Binance Kazakhstan went through a rigorous multi-stage review process. These processes included an external financial audit, obtaining ISO certification for the organization's IT systems, and multiple internal and external audits. In addition, AFSA also conducted its own rigorous assessment to ensure that Binance Kazakhstan complies with all applicable requirements and maintains best-in-class systems and processes.
The Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) is responsible for regulating financial and non-financial services within the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) in Kazakhstan, ensuring a safe and regulated financial environment.
Subsequent actions
With the full license, Binance Kazakhstan will be allowed to operate a virtual asset trading platform, engage in principal investment transactions, and provide virtual asset custody services. With this full licensing model, Binance Kazakhstan will be able to expand its product line and better serve the local digital asset ecosystem.
