BlockBeats news, on September 9, The Block reported that Solana ecosystem creator platform DRiP completed an $8 million seed round of financing, led by NFX, Coinbase Ventures and Progression, founded by former TikTok executives, and pre-seed round investors Placeholder, 6th Man Ventures and more than 30 angel investors participated.
The DRiP platform enables creators to distribute their works directly to fans as digital collectibles on the Solana blockchain, including exclusive images, videos, audio and other multimedia content. It uses Solana's low transaction costs to facilitate subscribers to provide tips of any amount instead of purchases.
