The head of the Russian Industrial Mining Association announced that Russia-based miners will mine around 54,000 bitcoins (~$3 billion) in 2023, bringing the Russian government around 50 billion rubles (~$556 million) in tax revenue.

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law that will legalize cryptocurrency mining starting in November.
