On July 15, 2024, Yuku, in partnership with the University of Zurich (UZH) Blockchain Center, hosted a groundbreaking online lecture at the UZH’s 5th International Summer School. This unique event seamlessly blended blockchain technology education with an immersive metaverse experience, attracting more than 100 enthusiastic students from all over the world.
Held on Yuku’s advanced virtual platform, the lecture provided participants with a novel way to engage with blockchain concepts. As students navigated through the digital space, they encountered interactive elements that made the learning experience lively and interesting. One highlight was the opportunity to collect NFT “red envelopes” in a virtual environment, providing a hands-on experience of the practical application of blockchain technology.
After the keynote, attendees were invited to explore the second level virtual space, which featured an exclusive online gallery showcasing photos from the event, allowing participants to relive key moments and connect with other learners in a unique digitally curated environment.

Xingjian Li’s innovative presentation demonstrated the power of Metaverse technology in education, where students didn’t just listen to a lecture, but experienced it firsthand, with Aula transformed into a digital realm that allowed students to engage in ways that were not possible in a traditional lecture hall.
The virtual main hall became a hub of activity, where students could view photos taken during the summer school, chat, and explore the potential of Metaverse technology in education. This setup highlighted how blockchain and Metaverse technology can create a dynamic, interactive, and immersive learning environment.
