Telegram’s new policy allows users to report “illegal content” in private chats for moderators to review:

Telegram has made an update to its policy allowing users to report illegal content in private chats for moderators to review; the change comes in the wake of the recent arrest of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov in France, where he faces charges of enabling criminal activity on the messaging platform.

According to a report by The Verge, Telegram’s FAQ page previously asserted that the platform does not process requests related to private chats, suggesting that they are secure and protected from third-party interference; however, this assertion has been removed from the page without notice in the past 24 hours.

Telegram lets users report illegal content

Telegram’s FAQ section has been updated to include detailed steps on how to report content that is suspected of violating the laws. According to the FAQ page, “All Telegram services now have a report button to make it easier for our moderators to report illegal content in just a few clicks.”
