According to TechFlow, Vega Protocol announced that the voting on the proposal to retire the Vega chain has ended but failed to take effect.

Although the vast majority of voters supported the proposal, a large number of voters unstaked their VEGA tokens before the end of the voting period, resulting in the final number of valid votes not reaching the required participation threshold. As a protective measure, Vega Protocol requires that voters' tokens remain staked at the end of the voting period for their votes to be counted. Given that on-chain voting and the majority of token holders support the proposal, Vega Protocol has resubmitted the proposal. The new voting deadline is 17:00 Beijing time on September 10 (Tuesday). Vega Protocol reminds users to keep their tokens staked before the deadline to ensure that their votes are valid.
