According to TechFlow, the re-staking protocol EigenLayer announced its second quarter staking airdrop plan on September 4, which will distribute approximately 86 million EIGEN tokens to ecosystem participants, accounting for 5.15% of its fully diluted valuation (FDV). This airdrop aims to reward contributors and participants who support the development of EigenLayer.

Distribution plan: 1. Stakers and node operators: approximately 70 million (4.2% FDV) 2. Ecosystem partners: up to 10 million (0.6% FDV) 3. Community members: approximately 6 million (0.35% FDV)

EigenLayer emphasized that the rewards distribution for users of the Liquidity Staking Token (LRT) protocol is the same as other participants. The LRT protocol will directly receive its corresponding airdrop allocation and decide for itself how to distribute the claimed EIGEN tokens to its community. In addition, EigenLayer will allocate EIGEN tokens to the Protocol Guild, which contributes to Ethereum L1 and ecosystem development, to support its important work.
