The WazirX exploiter has transferred 5,000 ETH (~$12M) to a new wallet and started laundering the funds through Tornado Cash. According to PeckShieldAlert, the funds were moved to address "0x2âŚ968" and 1,600 ETH (~$3.8M) was sent to Tornado Cash within 30 minutes. The remaining 3,399.92 ETH (~$8.19M) was transferred in batches of 100 ETH.
đ On Sep. 2, the attacker laundered 2,600 ETH (~$6.5M) via Tornado Cash. In total, 4,200 ETH (~$10.11M) has been laundered so far.
WazirX, which lost $235M in a July 18 hack, has limited customers to 66% INR withdrawals, sparking user discontent.
