Base will introduce the PeerDAS protocol through the Pectra upgrade, increasing data capacity and reducing network bandwidth requirements. Since its launch last year, Base throughput has increased 4 times, and the gas target per block has increased from 2.5 Mgas/s to 10 Mgas/s, with plans to increase 1 Mgas/s per week, with a target of 1 Ggas/s.
