Is there still alt season? Of course there is. But alt season usually occurs when Bitcoin rises by more than 50% and market sentiment picks up.
This round of alt season is actually the one at the end of 2023. Many altcoins have a good increase against BTC, but this is a short alt season based on BTC's rise from 25,000 to more than 40,000 in September 2023. Because there was no subsequent capital inflow into the entire market (capital went into ETFs), this alt season could not continue, so altcoins have been falling since then.
In fact, the situation in 2021 was similar. BTC rose from the bottom of 10,000 to 30,000 (January 2021). After that, BTC dominance fell sharply, and the copycat season began.
I don’t know where the bottom of BTC is, but here’s what I know:
1/ Liquidity will come sooner or later. The interest rates raised by the Federal Reserve in the past are what the Federal Reserve will inevitably release in the future, and the new president taking office is a good opportunity.
2/Based on past election years, October-November is usually the bottom of the market
3/ After BTC’s growth reaches a certain level, altcoins will naturally follow suit, which is estimated to be at the end of Q1/Q2.
