Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, has discussed the difficulties and challenges he has faced while developing the protocol on which ADA is based. According to Charles, Cardano is a distributed system operating in over 100 countries, uniting millions of people. Compared to Bitcoin, he believes Cardano offers a broader and more advanced vision, describing it as a self-replicating and self-sustaining “governance virus” that continues to grow and evolve without limitations.

Hoskinson and One of the Greatest Technical Achievements in History
One of the most significant developments has been the recent activation of the Chang hard fork on September 1. This update is crucial for steering Cardano towards more decentralized governance for the ecosystem.
With the implementation of Chang, ADA users now have the ability to elect governance representatives and vote on development proposals, marking the beginning of the platform’s “Voltaire Era.” The upgrade has been implemented in two phases, with the first phase introduced by the Interim Constitutional Committee and the second phase scheduled for the next 90 days, aimed at strengthening the new governance bodies.
Despite the criticism and challenges, Hoskinson remained optimistic and expressed gratitude towards those who have understood and supported the project. Cardano has succeeded in creating a distributed and autonomous system considered one of the greatest technical achievements in recent history.
