ChainCatcher reported that according to The Crypto Basic, Ripple will launch a new token standard "MPT" on XRP Ledger this month, aiming to enhance its support for real-world assets (RWA).

Jasmine Cooper, head of DeFi products at Ripple, explained that MPT is designed specifically for RWA and can store metadata directly with assets. This integration enhances the scalability and flexibility of XRPL, making it more suitable for institutional use cases and lowering the entry barriers for these organizations.
