Osaka: Looking to Become an International Financial City

Osaka Prefecture is working intensively to create a suitable environment to become an international financial center, with the aim of attracting leading local and global companies and establishing a financial technology center.

Governor Yoshimura pointed out the importance of strengthening the financial infrastructure, which is the lifeblood of the economy, stressing the need to make efforts to attract people, goods and capital.

In addition, the city has been approved by the Japanese government as a special zone for asset management, which allows foreign companies to obtain the necessary licenses and facilitate administrative procedures when entering the Japanese market.

This is expected to create a globally competitive business environment and enhance innovation through cooperation between Osaka-based companies and their foreign counterparts.

Governor Yoshimura also extended an invitation to attend a visit to Osaka in conjunction with the WebX conference next August, to take advantage of the business opportunities available directly and contribute to stimulating innovation in Osaka.
