The product positioning has changed: CeDeFi will now focus exclusively on CeDeFi-related products, primarily trading and asset management. BounceClub will concentrate on ecosystem activities, including DeFi, AI, and gaming. Additionally, BounceClub will introduce BTCfi, allowing users to utilize stBBTC for accessing BTC staking projects such as Babylon and Eigenlayer.

BounceBit CeDeFi V2 represents the next evolution in CeDeFi solutions, designed to significantly enhance the user experience while introducing a range of new features. Staying true to the core principles of CeDeFi and the foundational aspects of its current version, V2 aims to provide more thought-out functionality, improved scalability, and strategic flexibility. We are aiming for the first releases in Q4 this year.

Strategy Expansion and Competition
In our ongoing efforts to provide diversified investment opportunities and cater to a broader range of investor preferences, we are expanding our suite of supported strategies. Currently, our platform focuses exclusively on funding rate arbitrage delta-neutral strategies, which offer a low-risk approach to generating returns. However, we recognize the importance of offering a variety of strategies to meet the different risk appetites and financial goals of our users.
Expanded Strategy Offerings: We are introducing new strategies that will include Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) strategies and structured products. These additions are designed to provide more sophisticated options for investors looking for higher potential returns or different risk profiles. CTA strategies typically involve trend-following and diversification across various asset classes, offering opportunities to capitalize on market movements. Structured products will offer a combination of traditional and derivative financial instruments, tailored to deliver specific investment outcomes.A more diverse offering of financial products aligns with our vision of being a useful product under any market condition and cycle. This philosophy follows Ray Dalio’s All-Weather theory.Competition and Challenge Scheme for Asset Managers: To maintain high standards of performance and continuously optimize returns, we will implement a competition and challenge scheme for asset managers. This scheme will serve multiple purposes: it will incentivize top-performing managers through rewards and recognition, while also identifying and replacing underperforming managers. By fostering a competitive environment, we aim to ensure that our clients’ assets are managed by only the most skilled and effective professionals. It has similarities to an ELO system that will be adjusted after a testing period. More details on this will be revealed soon.

Upgraded Calculation Methods and Operational Rules
To further enhance the user experience and optimize the operational efficiency of our platform, we are implementing a series of upgrades to our subscription, redemption, and profit distribution rules. These changes are designed to offer greater flexibility, transparency, and user control over their investments.
Enhanced Profit Compounding Options: The power of compounding is often understated, but on a longer timeframe it is very impactful. And since many of our CeDeFi products are based on longer timeframes, V2 will now have the option to automatically compound returns. By reinvesting profits back into their chosen strategies, users can benefit from the effects of compound interest, potentially increasing their overall returns over time.Improved Redemption Processes: The redemption period for investments will be significantly shortened to less than seven days, providing users with quicker access to their funds. Additionally, partial redemptions will be supported, giving users more flexibility in managing their investments. This enhancement ensures that users can withdraw a portion of their investment without needing to liquidate their entire position — something that is not currently possible in V1, but an issue that is definitely worth addressing as it allows for a much more dynamic management of funds.Daily Performance Calculations: To provide greater transparency and allow users to closely monitor their investments, performance calculations will be conducted on a daily basis. This daily tracking enables real-time insights into the performance of their funds, empowering informed decisions and adjustments as needed.
Streamlined User Flow Experience
Recognizing the need for a more intuitive and efficient user experience, we are significantly refining the workflow for engaging with our CeDeFi products. The current process requires multiple steps, including depositing funds, bridging, staking, and then subscribing to premium products. This can be time-consuming and complex for users.
Direct Subscription Model: The new product design will allow users to subscribe directly to CeDeFi offerings without the need for intermediary steps like bridging and staking. This streamlined process will reduce the number of actions required from users, making it easier and faster to start benefiting from our products.Automatic Yield Farming: To further simplify the user experience, we are introducing an automatic farming feature that will enable users to earn their BB yield seamlessly. Users will no longer need to engage directly with the CeDeFi platform on the BB chain to benefit from yield farming opportunities. This automated process will take care of yield generation, enhancing user convenience and maximizing returns.Multi-Chain Compatibility: In addition to improving the user flow, we are expanding our product’s compatibility across multiple blockchain networks. Users will be able to access and enjoy our CeDeFi products on popular blockchains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, TON, and Solana. This multi-chain approach provides users with flexibility and choice, enabling them to engage with our offerings on the platform that best suits their preferences.
CeDeFi Trading
CeDeFi V2 will expand on the potential of CeDeFi of enhancing the trading experience on-chain — on multiple chains.
The goal is to provide the best of both worlds: the speed and liquidity of a major exchange like Binance and the transparency and security of blockchain technology.
We are utilizing the liquidity that assets possess on centralized exchanges and are building the robust connection between blockchain and CEX. The main facilitator are exchange APIs that allow the rapid mirroring of trades on exchanges, and allow the settlement on-chain with liquidity.
The trading engine will be powered by BBUSD as denominator. It is a platform that will allow the liquid trading of virtually any token available on centralized exchanges, but on-chain. Furthermore, deposit & withdrawal of dollar assets on the respective chain will be available. In the near future we are aiming for a deployment on BounceBit Chain, Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain.
Lower gas fees, lower transaction fees, lower slippage, lower spread, quicker settlement. While currently focused on BB, BTC and USDT, we have plans to expand its offerings. More cryptocurrencies and trading pairs will be added, making it a comprehensive platform for efficient trading on & beyond BounceBit.
$BB CeDeFi Utility
Currently, the $BB utility is directly bound to being the gas token of our Layer 1 network. It is used for paying the gas fees, incentivize validators and protocol participants, as well as governance token to vote for on-chain proposals. With CeDeFi V2, $BB will be directly integrated with the CeDeFi model as highly-functional platform token that will benefit not only retail $BB holders, but also asset managers and their users.
The utility of BB tokens in CeDeFi products:
BB as a subordinate fund product: BB holders can participate in high-risk products by staking BB as a subordinate fund. If the product makes a profit, BB stakers will receive dividends. If it incurs losses, the staked BB will cover the loss.BB as an entry “ticket” for low-capacity products: For some high-yield products, users must stake BB tokens to subscribe.BB as a reward for asset managers: Each month, asset managers with the highest APY receive BB rewards. Asset managers with the lowest performance must purchase BB tokens to be relisted after being delisted.Increased incentives for asset managers: Asset managers can offer additional incentives by distributing more BB tokens to their clients.
The transition to V2 will also mean a shift for the usual processes on the BounceBit Chain. The “DeFi” part of BounceBit, i.e. Bitcoin staking & restaking will be transitioned to BounceClub. More information in the following.

BounceClub was launched on Mainnet on 13th of May 2024. The ecosystem part of BounceBit follows an industry-first blockchain & smart-contract model. Anyone who owns a BounceClub, is able to deploy smart contracts onto the BounceBit network. It is a very individualistic approach.
