Maple Finance, an institutional capital marketplace on Ethereum, has reached a significant milestone with its total value locked (TVL) hitting $83 million on August 30, the highest level since late 2022. Maple facilitates lending and borrowing for institutional and accredited investors, offering various lending pools with annual percentage yields (APYs) of up to 20%.

DefiLlama attributes this growth to Syrup Finance, a decentralized finance (DeFi) yield platform launched in June. Syrup's TVL has surged to $31.75 million, doubling since early August. Unlike Maple, Syrup allows retail investors to connect non-custodial wallets and target APYs up to 15%, derived from Maple’s overcollateralized loans.
