BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes launched an NFT series called "Airhead" on Ordinals, with a total estimated amount of 10k. Airhead uses recursive inscriptions, and the community culture is to show off wealth generously, and uses "fat" to metaphor wealth. Each NFT is similar to an inflated balloon-like character. According to the XP ranking and address asset size, Airhead is divided into 10 levels. The higher the level, the "fatter" the NFT obtained.
On August 15, Airhead launched the whitelisting activity, where users can earn XP by interacting with Oyl Wallet, and the top 10,000 people will be eligible for the AirHead whitelist. According to the author's experience, the activity is not competitive for the time being, and it is relatively easy to rank within the top 10,000. Airhead announced that the ranking snapshot time is expected to be in late September. Odaily Planet Daily will teach you how to interact in this article.
Install plugin wallet Oyl Wallet
Oyl Wallet is a Bitcoin wallet designed to enable seamless transactions of Ordinals, BRC-20 and Runes within the wallet. According to the official description, Airhead's whitelist is only valid when interacting with Oyl Wallet, so we need to install Oyl Wallet first (click here to jump to the official website).
After installation, the website will automatically jump to the wallet creation page, where users can choose to create a new wallet or import an existing wallet.
Unlike UniSat and other Bitcoin wallets, an Oyl Wallet plugin can only have one mnemonic phrase. Therefore, when creating a new wallet, Oyl Wallet will not be able to import the user's existing wallet mnemonics or private keys; if you import an existing wallet, you will not be able to create a new mnemonic phrase in Oyl Wallet. For the sake of ranking, I recommend importing an existing wallet. If you are afraid that Oyl Wallet is not safe, you can also create a new wallet.
The following will demonstrate the operations of creating a new wallet and importing an existing wallet. Users can choose to view according to their needs.
Create a new wallet
Step 1: First click "Create a new wallet" in the picture above, and then you need to set a login password. This password needs to be entered every time you reopen the wallet.
Step 2: The mnemonic of the new wallet will appear. You can click "Show Key" in the upper right corner to view the mnemonic and record it in a notebook or other safe place. Then click "Copy" in the upper left corner to copy the mnemonic, and then click "It's backe up" in the lower right corner. You need to paste the complex mnemonic again, and finally click "It's Verified".
Step 3: You can personalize the wallet name and background color here, click "Continue", and the new wallet is created.
Step 4. Generate sub-addresses: There are multiple addresses under one mnemonic. First click the avatar in the upper right corner of the wallet page, and then click "New account" to create multiple sub-addresses.
Importing an existing wallet
If you want to import an existing wallet, you can select "Import wallet" at the beginning and fill in the mnemonic according to the prompts. The subsequent steps are the same as the third and fourth steps of creating a new wallet. However, Oyl Wallet currently only supports importing mnemonics but not importing a single address private key. UniSat is the most commonly used wallet in the Bitcoin ecosystem, so the following will demonstrate how to export mnemonics from UniSat.
As shown in the left picture below, after opening the UniSat plug-in wallet, first click on the wallet in the upper right corner; then click on the setting icon on the right side of the wallet to be exported, and then click on the second option to view the private key, as shown in the right picture below.
Apply for whitelist and earn XP
Apply for whitelist
On the Oyl Wallet page, click “check my status” to apply for whitelisting, as shown below.
The system will automatically evaluate the XP value and level of the address. The more whitelist assets the address has, the higher the XP value and level will be, and the "fatter" the Airhead that can be minted will be. Currently, the activity is not competitive. As shown in the figure below, an XP of 6 can rank in the top 4,000. According to the whitelist rules, as long as you rank within the top 10,000 before the snapshot, you are eligible to mint NFTs.
Earn XP
Users can currently earn XP by holding Bitcoin, specific Ordinals NFTs, BRC 20, and Runes in their addresses. The specific assets that can earn XP are as follows:
Different assets earn different amounts of XP:
100 XP for every 0.001 BTC;
10, 000 XP per eligible Ordinals NFT;
150 XP for every 0.001 BTC worth of certain BRC 20 tokens;
200 XP is awarded for every 0.001 BTC worth of a specific Rune Token.
This is why we recommend that you import your existing wallet to apply for the whitelist at the beginning, because if you import the mnemonic of a wallet that already holds eligible assets, you can save the trouble of transferring Bitcoin or other assets to the address. The official also revealed that there may be more activities to earn XP in the future.
Purchase eligible assets in Oyl Wallet
If there are no eligible assets in the imported wallet, users can choose to purchase them from the trading market aggregated by Oyl Wallet. The following is a tutorial.
Step 1: Click "Trade" on the wallet homepage;
Step 2: Then select an asset category in the navigation bar and find eligible assets, or search directly in the search bar, for example, search for pups to find all asset categories related to the word "pups";
Step 3: Then click on the eligible asset. Oyl Wallet currently aggregates multiple Bitcoin trading markets. Simply click on the order you want to buy, and finally click "Trade" to complete the transaction. It should be noted that Oyl Wallet does not have a second signature to confirm the transaction, so you must confirm it yourself before purchasing.
After the purchase is successful, an icon of the transaction assets will appear on the top of the wallet homepage. Click this icon to jump to mempool to view the status of the transaction in the memory pool.
Seeking cooperation with authorities
Oyl Wallet is expected to start a WL draw activity in cooperation with the community in September. Currently, users, KOLs or project parties can go to its official website entrance (click here to jump) and fill in the corresponding information according to the prompts to seek whitelist or WL cooperation.
