First i will write on future trading which is based purely on my personal experience for beginners and for experts too.
First: In future trading, whatever will be the price take a start from short /less margin. Leverage is upto your greed and risk level. If you greed more set a higher leverage or else.
Now the question is why a start from less margin level?
The answer is suppose if you go for buy long and the candle starts diverge or the opposite direction you selected, your loss and liquidation chances will be low. Moreover with its peak lowest or in middle you can start buying to minimise the entry price. And that will be the maximum lowest from where the candle now start moving up adding you the profit.
