I recently read a book called Black Swan.

Here are some of my takeaways and insights. TL;DR

This book is anti-human and very interesting. At the beginning, it explains why the "black swan" is called the black swan. For thousands of years, people have only seen white swans. Until one day, someone claimed to have seen a black swan by the lake in the forest, and everyone thought he was crazy. As the photos spread, more and more people confirmed that there really are black swans in this world.

Therefore, when extreme events occur, such as a stock market crash or a cryptocurrency collapse, people naturally call these emergencies “black swans.”

“Your experience deceives you”

There will always be a group of "highly intellectual" and "highly educated" people who use the books they have read or experiences in the past to make conclusions about the present and the future, without realizing that their experience is actually deceiving themselves.

In the eight years in the cryptocurrency industry, I have been learning because of my passion. From ICO, STO, DEFI, NFT to the current DEPIN, RWA, BTCfi, BRC20, etc., I would try and spend time studying the logical principles of each new concept. I thought I understood it, but I didn’t; I thought I didn’t understand it, but I actually did.

The more you know, the narrower your vision becomes. On the other hand, those traditional financial practitioners who have experienced many ups and downs are more calm.

The book "Black Swan" mentions many examples, including the 9/11 incident in New York, the United States, and other "black swan" cases such as the sudden outbreak of war in a country that has never experienced war.

Knowledge makes us humble, because we don’t know how many “black swans” there are in this world that we don’t know about.

In contrast, some "knowledgeable" bloggers who think they have a high level of knowledge share their self-righteous "knowledge points" on the Internet, look down on others from a high point, and criticize others with their so-called "professional" views. These people will eventually encounter their own "black swans".

Accept the existence of black swans

When I realized that "black swan" is a normal phenomenon in life, I no longer feared it or deliberately avoided it, but was ready to face it at any time.

Be open-minded to any unexpected events that may occur, and do not try to judge their patterns, because these events may be beyond your past experience. The key is to cultivate the ability to resist "black swans" and strengthen yourself through humble learning.

As the saying goes in Honor of Kings: "Develop in a sneaky way".

Developing your own growth system is the most calm way for us to face the "black swan".

I haven't finished reading this book yet, but it is highly recommended. I hope everyone can easily face the "black swan" in their life.

Thank you for reading my sharing❤️ Like and share, let me continue to share my reading gains🔥
