A recent report by Lookonchain revealed that the FTX attacker has converted 75,636 ETH, worth approximately $124 million, into BTC and cross-chained to the Bitcoin network. The attacker still holds 109,485 ETH, worth approximately $179 million. The attacker reportedly exchanged ETH for tBTC via the Threshold Network after ThorSwap was suspended. The hacking incident raised questions about decentralized finance (DeFi) security, leading experts to call for more stringent security measures in the sector to protect users’ funds.
