PANews reported on August 26 that according to CNBC, Trump recently said in an appearance on Shawn Ryan's podcast that if he is successfully elected president, Musk may not be able to serve in the White House cabinet due to busy company affairs, but he is happy to let Musk serve as a consultant and provide advice.
"He wants to be involved," Trump said. "But he's running a big business right now, so he can't, really, I don't think he'll have enough time to be a Cabinet member. Elon and I have a great relationship. He's great, he's a completely extraordinary person, he's a brilliant man."
