According to TechFlow, the hashrate of the Bitcoin network has climbed again, approaching the peak level at the end of July. Although the latest difficulty adjustment has dropped by 4.19%, it is expected that this drop may be offset soon. According to Luxor's hashrateindex.com data, Bitcoin's current hashrate is about 660 EH/s, only 17 EH/s lower than the peak of 677 EH/s set on July 25, 2024.

As the hashrate remains high, the average block interval is about 9 minutes and 36 seconds, slightly faster than the usual 10 minutes. This faster block speed may cause the difficulty adjustment on August 28 to offset the previous decrease, and may even push the difficulty to a new all-time high of 90.67 trillion.

Currently, Bitcoin difficulty is 86.87 trillion. With hashrate approaching all-time highs, miners may soon face a difficulty increase.
