TON Coin Drops 17% After Telegram CEO Arrested in France

According to reports, Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, was arrested on Saturday evening after arriving in France on his private plane.

Local media reported that the arrest came as a result of investigations into illegal activities related to the popular messaging app Telegram.

The French website TF1info quoted unnamed sources as saying that Durov was arrested at Le Bourget Airport, located northeast of Paris.

Although Durov holds French and Emirati passports, the Russian embassy confirmed that it has taken immediate steps to clarify the situation.
