Golden Finance reported that Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital produced a total of 1,242 BTC in September, an increase of 16% from August and 245% from September 2022. According to Marathon's September performance, the sharp surge in BTC production stems from the company's installed computing power increasing by 508% to 23.1EH/s from 3.8EH/s in September 2022. At the same time, Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms' BTC production increased by 9% month-on-month, with 362BTC produced in September, while "strategically reducing mining operations." The company has signed a long-term contract to sell pre-purchased electricity to utility providers at market-driven spot prices in exchange for power restriction quotas. Clean Spark CEO and President Zach Bradford said that Bitcoin miner Clean Spark produced 643 bitcoins in September and 6,903 bitcoins in the fiscal year from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, which is the company's best performance so far. "We had our best quarter and best financial year ever," Bradford said in a statement on October 3.
