Soneium, the Ethereum L2 network developed by Japanese entertainment giant Sony Group in cooperation with Startale, is scheduled to launch in the coming weeks, initially running a testnet in cooperation with Astar Network and integrating Astar's zkEVM assets. The network's technical infrastructure is expected to be based on the Superchain ecosystem platform, leveraging Optimism's OP Stack technology.
