📍In the key application area of WiFi infrastructure, Roam, which has grown particularly rapidly, stands out with more than 500,000 nodes and 627,000 users, ranking third on DePINscan, surpassing Helium IoT
📍Roam is a project by MetaBlox Labs to create a seamless global WiFi roaming network through #OpenRoaming™, and is supported by Cisco, Google, and Samsung. Users can connect automatically without logging in repeatedly, solving the inconvenience of repeated logins on traditional WiFi networks.
📍Roam uses decentralized identity (DID) and verifiable credentials (VCs) technology to ensure the security of network authentication. Users can prove their identity without revealing personal information, which not only protects privacy but also enables seamless WiFi connection.
📍Roam's network includes WiFi miners, validators, and builders. Roam miners using Rainier MAX60 routers earn Roam Points through Proof-of-Service, a token for future airdrops. Validators check the uptime and service quality of miners' equipment and report to the network~
