Cross-border data flows and transactions

Mr. Lin Zekun of Shenzhen Data Exchange shared in detail the evolution of policies related to cross-border data flows in recent years and their impact on cross-border data transactions. He pointed out that with the development of the digital economy, data, as a new factor of production, has become increasingly frequent and complex in its cross-border flow. In order to adapt to this change, government departments have continuously introduced and improved relevant policies and regulations to promote the safe and legal cross-border flow of data. Mr. Lin Zekun also focused on the exploration and practice of Shenzhen Data Exchange in promoting cross-border data transactions, especially in utilizing Shenzhen's unique geographical and policy advantages as the core city of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As of the latest statistics, Shenzhen Data Exchange has successfully completed a number of cross-border data transactions, including cooperation cases with Malaysian data vendors. These practices have not only promoted the healthy development of the data factor market, but also provided valuable experience for other regions.
