Mt. Gox Moves Another $709 Million in Bitcoin
Mt. Gox, the infamous defunct crypto exchange, has once again made a significant move. Just four hours ago, the exchange transferred 12,000.17 BTC, valued at approximately $709.44 million, likely to Bitstamp.
This latest transfer follows a series of large-scale Bitcoin distributions in July. In that month, Mt. Gox sent a total of 95,523 BTC ($6.14 billion) to various exchanges and platforms, including BitGo, Bitstamp, Kraken, SBIVCTrade, and Bitbank.
However, it's important to note that Mt. Gox still holds a substantial amount of Bitcoin. The exchange currently has 46,164 BTC, worth around $2.74 billion.
As Mt. Gox continues to liquidate its remaining assets, it's crucial to monitor how these transfers impact the broader Bitcoin market.
