Stablecoin behemoth Tether (USDT) recently injected an additional $1 billion worth of USDT into the TRON ecosystem, aiming to boost market liquidity. The massive creation was carried out on August 20 by the TBPxâŠATto contract, with the funds transferred to what appears to be Tetherâs treasury address.
Despite the lack of notable changes in Tetherâs transparency report, which states that the amount in circulation remains stable at around $60.8 billion, this move raises questions about its potential impact. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino revealed that this move could solidify TRON $TRX as the number one network in terms of minted USDT, surpassing even Ethereum.
