[Tether launches USDT on Aptos blockchain to reduce fees]
Tether has launched its USD-pegged USDT token on the Aptos blockchain to reduce transaction costs. The move is part of Tether’s plan to promote the use of digital currencies around the world. By integrating USDT into the Aptos blockchain, Tether hopes to leverage its high scalability functionality and speed to offer gas fees as low as less than 1 cent per transaction.
This new integration reduces transaction fees and is suitable for both micro-transactions and large enterprise transactions. The press release noted that Aptos has continued to grow this year, with average daily active users increasing from 96,000 in January to 170,000 in July.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said Aptos’ technology will make USDT transactions faster and more cost-effective. In addition, blockchain analysis company Nansen established a partnership with Aptos on July 17, aiming to provide users and investors with the analysis tools they need to help the Aptos ecosystem grow.
