CPI was basically in line with expectations, and the three major U.S. stock indexes opened higher

PANews reported on August 14 that the three major U.S. stock indexes opened higher, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.03%, the S&P 500 up 0.17%, and the Nasdaq up 0.28%. Earlier, the U.S. CPI data for July was basically in line with expectations. Technology stocks continued to rebound, with Nvidia (NVDA.O) up 2% and ASML (ASML.O) up 1.9%.
