PANews reported on August 13 that ZetaChain, a general-purpose Layer 1 blockchain focused on interoperability, announced that well-known metaverse company Animoca Brands has become its validator. The two parties will jointly promote multi-chain interoperability and the widespread adoption of digital assets.
The collaboration aims to combine Animoca Brands’ expertise and experience in blockchain cybersecurity with ZetaChain’s proprietary ZRC-20 token standard for deploying Omnichain smart contracts. This will promote a more secure and trusted environment, accelerating the development of innovative Omnichain decentralized applications (dApps) that are able to seamlessly manage native assets and data between different blockchains without requiring users to switch networks.
According to DappRadar data, ZetaChain is one of the top ten blockchains in terms of active users. It has launched the 2.0 upgrade and universal EVM for chain abstraction, with its core centered around its chain abstraction framework. In addition, with major institutions such as OKX and Crypto.com launching ZETA staking and Coinbase including native ZETA in its roadmap, ZetaChain has quickly become an important player in the field of chain abstraction, supporting more than 3.6 million independent wallets.
