The last month has been particularly exciting, featuring everything from new partnerships around real-world assets to our acquisition of a real, live racehorse.

We partnered with Brillion to supercharge our capabilities for deploying real-world assets on the network, the technical team has been working hard to get the upcoming Jasper proto-testnet release of Zilliqa 2.0 in shape for public testing, and we celebrated Zilliqa’s seventh birthday this month.

Strategic partnership with Brillion

One of the biggest moments in July was our strategic partnership with Brillion, a multi-chain smart wallet that aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and DeFi. Partnering with Brillion will help us to simplify the user experience and broaden the appeal of Web3 applications that use real-world assets, making Zilliqa an attractive and user-friendly network for both developers and end-users.

Acquiring a racehorse to drive real-world adoption

In July, we announced our acquisition of “The HRSE Horse”, whose name is a nod to $HRSE, the recently-launched fan token of The Winners Circle, an innovative new loyalty platform that uses Web3 to redefine the racing fan experience.The $HRSE token enables holders to earn rewards for predicting the outcome of races, influence the decisions of their favourite team, enjoy discounts on racehorse ownership syndicate shares, and much more through The Winners Circle.

Zilliqa's 7th Birthday

This July, we celebrated a remarkable milestone - Zilliqa's seventh birthday. Reflecting on our journey, we are proud of our extensive history and how our community and protocol has evolved over the years.

Upcoming launch of Jasper

The technical team spent the last month preparing for the upcoming launch of the Jasper proto-testnet. This release will comprise the first implementation of Zilliqa 2.0’s Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, making it the ideal testing ground for potential new validators looking to earn rewards for securing the network.

TGE for $HRSE

One of the biggest announcements in the Zilliqa ecosystem was the conclusion of the TGE for $HRSE, the fan token of The Winners Circle. Ahead of this launch, The Winners Circle director Tom Fleetham was featured on several AMAs to discuss the platform and the utility of the $HRSE token.

The token is now listed on the centralised MEXC exchange as well as platforms like PancakeSwap.

New ZIL listings

Zilliqa was also listed on a number of platforms last month, including LetsExchange, Alga Ecosystem, and OKX Australia.In other exciting news, Abra Global acquired a Zilliqa trust, further integrating our ecosystem into mainstream financial services. 

ZIL staking on BitPanda

ZIL staking support was launched on BitPanda, Austria’s first unicorn startup, offering our community more ways to earn rewards.

We were also thrilled to see that we reached a milestone of 67 million transactions on the Zilliqa network in July, showcasing our growth and the increasing adoption of our blockchain. 

Zilliqa team at EthCC

The Zilliqa team also found the time to appear at important industry events, with our Head of Investor Relations Bradley Laws and Head of Research Zoltan Fazekas both heading to EthCC to fly the Zilliqa banner in the EVM space.

Upcoming events

Zilliqa CTO Richard Watts is appearing as a guest on the Web3 Insights Podcast Series, where he will be covering the latest advancements at Zilliqa and overcoming technical challenges in the Web3 space. 

Our Head of Research, Zoltan Fazekas will also be mentoring Web3 startups for the Boba Network accelerator programme in partnership with Brinc.

Sandra Helou, CEO of Zilliqa Group venture MetaMinds, will be travelling to numerous events over the coming months and is set to speak at WebX Asia and the GAINSummit in Riyadh.

The Zilliqa team and Group representatives will be attending Token2049 Singapore in September this year, and members of the Zilliqa team are also planning to attend Ethereum Singapore and ETHGlobal conferences to connect with developers and businesses in the EVM space.
