US fintech firm Ripple has announced an alliance with the DIFC Innovation Hub, the UAEâs largest innovation community, to propel blockchain innovation and digital assets in the region. The partnership aims to boost blockchain adoption among startups and growth companies, introducing this revolutionary technology to large traditional institutions and their use cases.
Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, highlighted that the UAE is one of the most crypto-friendly countries, offering a dynamic environment where crypto businesses and digital asset initiatives can thrive. According to him, this partnership with the DIFC Innovation Hub promises to catalyze the adoption of blockchain technology in the region, while the $XRP Ledger (XRPL) continues to position itself as a leading blockchain for startups and growing companies developing real-world use cases.
Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC, also said that this collaboration reinforces the community's role as a major global hub for talent, technology and innovation.
Additionally, Ripple has committed an impressive $1 billion $XRP fund to accelerate the development and adoption of new global use cases on the XRP Ledger. Launched in 2021, the fund provides financial, technical, and business support, having already invested in 160 projects across 47 countries, ranging from decentralized finance (DeFi) to real-world asset tokenization.
