PANews reported on August 3rd that according to Wen Wei Po, Hong Kong Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong Legislative Council member Wong Chun-shuo suggested that the Hong Kong government speed up the construction of a digital identity system and standards based on Hong Kong residents, gradually establish a set of applications for more widespread adoption of digital identities between public and private institutions, and promote widespread adoption by all sectors, such as incorporating digital identities into smart convenience platforms. The Hong Kong government must strike a balance in the regulation and development of Web3.0, and suggests using Web3.0 technology to distribute electronic consumer vouchers to travelers, because the cost of using the Web3.0 platform to issue consumer vouchers is only 0.15 of the total, and the transaction cost is much cheaper than issuing them through traditional banking methods.
