Many people are saying that the altcoins didn’t perform very well in this bull market.
In the past, the altcoins doubled in the bull market. This time, not only did they not rise, but they fell.
There are two extreme differences.
First, most altcoins rely on hype narratives to achieve price increases.
Now, relatively speaking, retail investors are more willing to invest in Bitcoin $BTC and Ethereum $ETH .
Most of the funds flow to Bitcoin Ethereum, and less flow to altcoins, so the trading volume is relatively small.
Second, the newly listed coins are a bit lame. In the past, they were listed with low market value, and then the market value rose all the way. On the contrary, what about now? They started to cut at a high market value when they were listed, and then fell all the way.
Especially with the approval of Ethereum’s ETF this year, retail investors are more willing to invest in valuable potential coins, rather than the so-called new coins that have been launched.
