Odaily Planet Daily News Tokenization platform OpenEden announced the first introduction of tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds (T-bills) to XRP Ledger (XRPL). OpenEden's TBILL token invests in short-term U.S. Treasury bonds and reverse repurchase agreements, ensuring the highest security and regulatory compliance. Ripple will allocate $10 million to invest in OpenEden's TBILL tokens, which is part of a larger fund. RippleX Senior Vice President Markus Infanger said that this demonstrates new opportunities for tokenization of real-world assets and strengthens XRPL's position as a leading blockchain. OpenEden recently tokenized U.S. Treasury bonds with a total locked value (TVL) of more than $75 million and received an investment-grade "A" rating from Moody's. OpenEden co-founder Jeremy Ng said that users will be able to mint TBILL tokens through stablecoins, including the upcoming Ripple USD. Ripple also announced a partnership with Archax to introduce more tokenized real-world assets to XRPL.
