Crypto lawyer Bill Morgan has slammed Bitcoin maximalist Max Keiser over his recent criticism of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s stance on Bitcoin and other cryptos. Morgan accused Keiser of being upset with Trump for including other cryptos in his speech instead of focusing solely on Bitcoin.

A post that shows how deluded you are. You are just upset he included other crypto in his speech because you are a one coiner maxi https://t.co/oPUszAvWvq

Morgan’s outburst was in response to Keiser’s X post, where the Bitcoin supporter criticized the former president, accusing him of being light-years away from any meaningful understanding of Bitcoin. According to Keiser, those expecting Trump to follow up on his Bitcoin pledges if elected might be in for a rude awakening.

Keiser’s criticism of Trump stems from the former president’s negative remarks toward President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, a renowned Bitcoin supporter and the first government leader to declare the cryptocurrency a legal tender. Speaking at the GOP convention a few weeks ago, Trump claimed Bukele’s popularity in the United States is unmerited.

According to Trump, the El Salvador president is “pretending to be doing a good job while sending all of his criminals, his drug dealers, his people that are in jails, he’s sending them all to the United States.” Keiser conducted a poll on X, asking if Trump would make a U.S. Bitcoin reserve announcement at the Nashville Bitcoin 2024 conference. Nearly 75% of respondents thought he wouldn’t, but the former president eventually did.

Trump’s outburst at Bukele surprised many Bitcoin supporters like Keiser, most of whom thought the former president’s recent affinity towards the flagship crypto could create a meeting point between them. It is worth noting that Bukele had previously positioned himself as Trump’s ally, criticizing his recent prosecution.
