ChainCatcher news, WazirX co-founder Nischal Shetty said that the platform has sought help from several different Indian and international authorities in recent security incidents, but refused to disclose specific names. WazirX has complained to the police in Mumbai and reported the incident to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In).

WazirX refused to comment on whether acquisitions by other companies might be included in the options for seeking help.

Shetty said that he could not disclose how much INR WazirX has on its books because it could "provide a new attack vector for criminals." He also pointed out that the reason why WazirX currently does not allow the withdrawal of cryptocurrencies is the lack of regulatory transparency.
