Odaily Planet Daily News: SlowMist founder Yu Xian shared the experience of Twitter user @0xMaxLin encountering a job scam on the X platform, warning the community to be aware of fake video conferencing software, which is used to trick potential victims into downloading malicious applications and stealing crypto assets. maxlin.eth reported a job scam in which the scammer pretended to be from infrastructure development company xLabs, contacted the victim through Telegram, and induced him to download malware. The scammer used Zoom to conduct a fake interview in the name of offering a marketing specialist position to lower the victim's vigilance. At the end of the interview, the scammer asked the user to download a conference software called Meetly. After installation, the software malfunctioned, and the user eventually discovered that the link was a scam website. The user promptly transferred the assets to other wallets, successfully avoiding potential theft risks.
