According to BlockBeats, on July 26, Sui tweeted that its mainnet will integrate the DAG-based consensus algorithm Mysticeti, and the upgrade process will be carried out in several steps in the next few weeks.

Officials said that Mysticeti reached consensus in 390 milliseconds on the test network and the final settlement time was 640 milliseconds, which was 80% less than Narwhal-Bullshark.

The algorithm also maintains extremely high throughput even in the event of network and node failures. Mysticeti validators can sign and share blocks without certification, and naturally appoint multiple leaders per round, allowing more transactions to be put on the chain in advance.
