Polymarket, the crypto predictions platform, has teamed up with payments giant MoonPay to offer a wider range of payment options. Users can now fund their accounts using debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfers, and even PayPal. This move aims to enhance user experience and drive adoption of decentralized platforms.
Betting volumes on Polymarket have soared, hitting $260 million in July, largely driven by speculation on the U.S. presidential election. Currently, $370 million is riding on the election outcome, with odds favoring former President Donald Trump at 63%.
Polymarket also closed a $70 million Series B funding round led by Peter Thielâs Founder Fund and added election analyst Nate Silver as an advisor. Despite its popularity, Polymarket remains unavailable to U.S. users.
