Brian Armstrong advocates for the power of cryptocurrency voting blocks, which he believes politicians are underestimating.

Armstrong said voters in the 2024 election will ask candidates to take a stance on cryptocurrencies.

Politicians who support cryptocurrencies see it as an opportunity to challenge current policy and potentially make it a hot topic in 2024.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has highlighted that American voters are increasingly prioritizing candidates’ stances on cryptocurrencies when making voting decisions.

"Do you perpetuate these unnecessarily hostile existing policies, or do you allow this technology to flourish and ensure America's leadership as a technological hub?" Armstrong said in a recent interview.

Armstrong also stressed that U.S. politicians fail to grasp the influence of cryptocurrencies.

“I think everybody in Washington, D.C., doesn’t really fully realize how powerful the cryptocurrency voting block is. I think in 2024 American voters are really going to hold the candidates to the fire and ask them, what is your position on cryptocurrency?”

Armstrong was hesitant to endorse or reveal who he would vote for.

However, he suggested that the current debate is among those who discuss cryptocurrencies. “From what I can tell, all their comments have been positive,” Armstrong added.

He claims that politicians who support cryptocurrencies see it as an opportunity to challenge Biden's policies. These policies have caused mixed reactions within the cryptocurrency community. "I think this could become a hot topic in the 2024 presidential campaign," Armstrong predicted.

In recent news, Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen criticized U.S. President Joe Biden’s stance on cryptocurrencies.

Larsen believes that the president’s stance is not conducive to the country’s innovation progress. He further believes that the United States has fallen behind in the global blockchain industry.

Armstrong endorses stablecoins

Armstrong also discussed stablecoins and expressed his belief that they represent a significant advancement for the global financial system.

He declared it the most important technology to update the financial system.“We found that 67% of Americans believe the financial system needs a major update,” Armstrong explained.

He does not think this will diminish the appeal of other cryptocurrencies:

“We’re going to have decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. We’re going to have things like Ethereum that are being built on top of completely decentralized new application platforms. But if we need to hire people, sometimes you have to meet them where they are.”

Armstrong reiterated that it allows the dollar to continue to operate in the crypto ecosystem, contributing to global economic efficiency. "So these things will all help the crypto ecosystem grow and achieve the vision of decentralization." #加密观点  #BrianArmstrong
