According to Odaily, Meow, co-founder of Jupiter, announced on X that the recent governance vote for Jupuary did not achieve the required 70% absolute majority. The vote saw 58% in favor and 42% against. A new proposal vote is scheduled for early next week.
The voting process involved 364 million JUP tokens, with a remarkable 12,000 verified feedback responses. These responses were often lengthy and detailed, providing a clear understanding of the issues that need addressing. As the goal is to reach a 70% absolute majority, a second vote will be conducted.
In the coming days, the team plans to review all feedback sources, address major concerns and opposition areas, and propose a new, supportable proposal.
