The number of Bitcoin L2 projects has increased sevenfold since 2021, and it is expected that more than $47 billion worth of BTC will be connected by 2030

According to Odaily Planet Daily, data disclosed by Galaxy shows that since 2021, the number of Bitcoin L2 projects has increased from 10 to 75, a 7-fold increase.

Since 2018, Bitcoin L2 has received $447 million in investment, a trend that is changing the utility of BTC. In 2024, Bitcoin L2 projects received 36% of venture capital funding.

It is expected that by 2030, BTC worth more than US$47 billion will be able to access L2 to provide support for DeFi, homogeneous tokens, payments, etc.
