According to Odaily Planet Daily, Surinamese presidential candidate Maya Parbhoe stated that once in office, Bitcoin (BTC) will be designated as legal tender.

She plans to gradually replace the Surinamese dollar with satoshi within the first year and ensure that all salaries are paid in BTC, aiming to establish a Bitcoin nation that is more deeply rooted in cryptocurrency than El Salvador.

Maya Parbhoe's subsequent plans also include dissolving the central bank, cutting taxes, privatizing public services, issuing national Bitcoin bonds, and promoting widespread deregulation.
