According to Cointelegraph, Galaxy Digital's research department estimates that by 2030, approximately $47 billion in Bitcoin liquidity may bridge to the Bitcoin L2 network.
Galaxy Research analyzed the growth of the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem in its latest report for 2024, noting that the number of projects has increased sevenfold, with the total amount of venture capital so far approximately $447 million.
Researchers point out that in the first three quarters of 2024, venture capital for Bitcoin L2 has reached $447 million, accounting for 39% of total investment. Among this, $174 million was raised from January to September 2024, $105 million was used for sidechains, and $63 million was used for rollups.
In the second quarter of 2024, Bitcoin L2 received 44% of L2 investment in the crypto industry, with investment growing 159% compared to the first quarter.
Galaxy believes that as the Bitcoin L2 ecosystem develops, traditional crypto venture capital firms will continue to invest in Bitcoin L2.
